Our laser cells enable to create individual tread profiles and sidewall designs in cured tires. The process replaces the time-consuming manual carving of tire prototypes, which is still common today, and thus shortens development cycles and cost in tire development.
The heart of our prototyping solution is the Votan Tire-Scan technology developed by Jenoptik AG, which is already being used in the development laboratories of leading vehicle tire manufacturers.
The geometries to be processed can be transferred from the CAD software into machine data. The processing is fully automatic. A pulsed laser generates the required structures precisely and with high repeatability. A powerful suction system efficiently removes the process gases generated at the point of processing.
