High Order Intake for Solar Machinery

| Photovoltaic & Glass, 4JET Technologies High Order Intake for Solar Machinery

German machine supplier 4JET GmbH (Alsdorf near Aachen) reports a high order intake in its thin-film photovoltaics business.

Until mid-2011 the supplier of laser equipment will supply edge deletion systems, glass drilling modules and bus bar stripping equipment to 10 different production lines for CIGS and CdTe manufacturing. In total, over 20 process modules will be supplied.

Customers are leading producers of CIGS and CdTe thin-film solar panels in the US, Europe and Asia.

4JET´s INLINE laser edge deletion systems allow precise and fast processing of all typical thin-film photovoltaic stacks. The machines are customized with different laser sources and processing features.

MEX systems are used to expose the molybdenum layer on CIGS panels in order to prepare for bonding processes by welding, soldering or glueing.

The GDS laser glass drilling modules allow to create holes of varying diameters and geometries in solar glass in order to feed through contact ribbons from the film side to the junction box.
